Look inside most electronic products and you’ll see resistors, thin-wired devices that add resistance to a circuit to help regulate the flow of electricity in a circuit. This video from The Engineering Mindset explains how resistors work and describes the construction and operation of several key types of resistors.

The video shows an example of how the use of a resistor affects the current and brightness of an LED in the same circuit. It also shows how two resistors wired in parallel affect current output.
