The LM10 linear magnetic encoders, designed for tough machinery applications, has a 100-m travel capability. The solid-state, noncontact design features a compact, IP68 read head that rides at 0.1 to 1.5 mm standoff over a self-adhesive magnetic strip scale, providing the count for high-performance positioning—5 µm resolution at 20 m/sec and 1 µm at 4 m/sec. They are capable of withstanding temperatures from –20° to 85°C, as well as high shock and vibration. Additionally, the firm’s TONiC super-compact, optical encoder is suited for use in semiconductors, laboratory, and medical applications. TONiC facilitates system design with a tiny hardware footprint, along with signal purity and stability, low cost of ownership, and fast, easy setup. Renishaw, www.renishaw.com/encoders
