Dixon (Charlotte, NC, U.S.; www.dixon-ztr.com) redesigned its Ram Series zero-turn mowers with new transmission and deck options. The 2009 mowers have been upgraded with a 1.5-in x 2-in tubular steel frame for improved balance, stability, and durability.

The mowers are also available with ZT2800 or Kanzaki transmissions. The fully serviceable ZT2800 series transmission has 7-in fans for uniform cooling, 1-in diam ball bearing supported axles, and guarded filters. The Kanzaki tandem pump with Parker wheel motors feature an oversized hydraulic reservoir for better heat dissipation and longer component life.

Decks offered include the unique Tunnel Force deck with welded steel construction, cast iron spindles, and an extra large discharge opening for better performance in heavy mowing. Also offered is the new Tri-Force deck, an extra deep, welded steel cutting deck.
