Viverso (www.viverso.com), a coating subsidiary of a chemical company, has adopted an Internet-based sales platform that standardizes order handling, boosts efficiency, and reduces costs. Registered customers can place orders and access analysis certificates online. Based in Bitterfeld, Germany, Viverso manufactures about 80 product grades of traditional coating resins, including alkyd resins (Alkydal), unsaturated polyesters (Roskydal), and hydroxyacrylates (Desmophen A) for the formulation of surface coatings for household appliances and other applications. The firm says the concentration of all business activities at a single site has simplified processes and resulted in cost savings for customers.
