The Fastener Inspection System (FIS) can identify cracks and defects via pattern recognition. It also can indicate if improper force or torque has been applied to rivets (secured by orbital, spin, radial, or impact riveters, and presses) or other formed fasteners. By incorporating the CURE technology (Concurrent Universal Recognition Engine memory processing architecture), FIS provides assembly engineers and plant managers with real-time process monitoring and control to prevent face diameters and appearance from reaching unacceptable ranges.
