Since 1924, Varflex has been the pioneer in the design and manufacturing of braided insulation products. New methods and improved materials have enabled Varflex to supply superior electrical insulating sleeving products to many customers around the world.
Varflex manufactures a complete line of coated and uncoated electrical insulating fiberglass sleevings and does its own braiding in-house. It also braids nylon, polyester, Nomex, Dacron, Kevlar, and polypropylene.
Applicable Varflex sleevings are suited for high- and low-temperature applications, high- and low-voltage applications, and for abrasive and other physically demanding applications and environments. The voltage and temperature ratings of Varflex sleevings are recognized by NEMA and UL, certified by CSA, and meet military specifications. For applications not satisfied through the use of its standard products, Varflex can supply special coatings and treatments, extra heavy, double and triple wall constructions, as well as special braiding and overbraiding.
Varflex braided sleevings can be used to jacket wire or other small devices from intense heat, radioactive environments, ultraviolet light, abrasion, flexing, and intermittent exposure to chemicals. Its extruded tubings can also be used to transport compatible liquids, gases, or as vacuum hoses.
