The Ridgeline CE is a rugged, small-form-factor industrial computer. Its small housing allows for mounting in locations not serviced by traditional 10- and 12-in. units. With a 5.75-in.-high bright-color LCD display, touch screen, IP65-sealed enclosure, solid-state drive, and programmable function buttons, this unit can be ergonomically installed in even the smallest space without disturbing the mobile worker. The five large, soft keys are flexibly programmed with functions that correspond to the relevant working process. Its illuminated keypad (backlight) allows operators to work in poor ambient light. Integrated 802.11 b/g radio and an internal dc power convertor allow for mounting in an array of vehicles. Four LEDs indicate the respective operating condition of the unit and facilitate the diagnosis of errors. The interfaces are protected against moisture by a flap, which is equipped with a proven pull relief to protect the cabling against damage caused by rough usage.
