The company offers a complete line of detent-action instrument and control switches designed to meet the demands of the electric-power industry. Configurable to the needs of a variety of specific utility applications, the company’s detent switches are produced in two basic models: Series 24 and Series 31. Both feature double-wiping, silver-plated contacts for long life and terminal screws for easy installation. Instrument switch configurations have an option for “make before break” (shorting) contacts, a positive-positioning detent mechanism, and a common-input tap-switch arrangement that allows sequential connection to several lines using the same switching deck. Control switch configurations feature spring-return-to-normal (vertical) position. The instrument and control switches are also available with a “smart nameplate” that incorporates up to three target LEDs and two output contacts in a traditional nameplate footprint.
