The 7200-series range control provides three basic temperature controls. The 7201 is a simple low-cost replacement for electromechanical single-burner gas ranges. Models 7204 and 7207 are designed for electric range applications with one or two heating elements, respectively. All devices use a common platinum sensor for oven-cavity temperature control. A cooking temperature range of 170° to 550°F, settable in 5°F increments, is standard. The device uses seven switch pads to input commands, which are displayed on a bright-red, four-digit, 0.6-in.-high LED display. A green digital display is optional on all models. Performance characteristics such as oven-cavity offset temperature, ramp rate to setpoint, and cavity-air stirring temperature swing are factory preset or variable by special order. The electric top-broil “lo” setting is set at 80%-on time with a 450°F setpoint. The “hi” broil setting provides a 100%-on time with a 550°F setpoint. Gas models provide 450°F and 550°F broil setpoints at 100%-on time for “lo” and “hi” settings, respectively. Function-key depressions, a timer cycle end, and a 2.4-kHz audio transducer produce reminder beeps. The controls perform auto power down, canceling cooking functions after 12 hours of use. All devices use a common platinum sensor for oven-cavity temperature control.
