Piezoelectric switches make use of a new proprietary technology and offer face thickness advantages.  Standard piezoelectric switches have only 0.020 in. or less face thickness, whereas the face of the company’s switches is 0.070 to 0.100 in. thick. Some of the switches have dual-ring illumination for visual feedback in a variety of colors (standard is red/green); piezoelectric buzzers can be incorporated for audio feedback. Standard sizes are 16, 19, and 22 mm. Piezoelectric switches do not require an external power source. RW Components LLC, www.rwcomponents.com
