The company offers midspans with simple network management protocol (SNMP) for use in managed networks. The SNMP protocol is said to enable network administrators to manage and monitor networks, and remotely diagnose and solve any network problems. Available in 1-port, 8-port, 16-port, and 24-port versions, the company’s midspans provide 15.4 W of power per port. The midspan will full power to all ports, so there is no need to calculate which devices to connect. The midspans are said to be a cost-effective, easy-to-implement solution for powering VoIP applications. The units give VoIP systems full power as soon as they are plugged in and turned on, with no complex set-up process required. Power-over-ethernet allows both power and data to be carried over a single ethernet cable, enabling a device to operate entirely from the power it receives through the data cable. Phihong
