The PosiTector® 200 Series coating thickness gauge is said to non-destructively measure a variety of applications using proven ultrasound technology. The unit measures coating thickness on wood, concrete, plastics, composites, and other materials. No adjustments are required to measure most coatings. The unit has a menu-driven user interface, one-handed menu navigation, bi-color indicator light, and is said to be ideal in a noisy environment. It is designed to be solvent, acid, oil, water, and dust resistant, and meets or exceeds IP5X ingress protection. The scratch and solvent resistant display is said to make the gauge suitable for harsh environments and comes equipped with a shock-absorbing, protective rubber holster with belt clip and a 2 year warranty on both gauge body and probe. The responsive transducers are said to provide fast, accurate readings (up to 40 readings per minute). The unit’s non-destructive ultrasonic technique conforms to ASTM D6132 and ISO 2808 and a certificate of calibration showing traceability to NIST is included. The unit continually displays and updates average, standard deviation, and number of readings while measuring. The internal memory can store up to 10,000 readings in up to 1,000 batches. A built-in clock dates and time-stamps each stored measurement. USB, IR and serial output options are provided for simple communication with printers and PCs. The unit’s backlit display is suitable for dim or dark environments. Selectable display languages including: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Norwegian, Russian, Czech, and Italian. Defelsko
