According to the company, the durable, easy-to-install Tufcote H-SM faced foam reduces the noise emissions of HVAC equipment, while meeting the flame resistance requirements of UL 94. With a noise-trapping cell structure and protective polyester facing, the foam has long been used for noise control in enclosed equipment, such as heavy-duty truck engines, pumps, power generation, and automated assembly equipment. The HVAC market is now employing the Tufcote faced foams to both produce quieter equipment and meet the industry’s accepted flame standards.
