Literature from Amulet Technologies highlights the supplier’s graphic operating system (OS) chip, which is designed to replace the traditional LCD controller and requisite software drivers. This is said to reduce memory requirements and allow the host microprocessor to do its job more effectively. The company’s silicon components are highlighted in the brochure and compared to a contemporary system. The controller board is said to include provisions for an Ethernet solution and an open socket to accept a daughter board.
