Elcometer 2300 rotational viscometers are said to be ideal for determining the viscosity of liquids that do not depend solely on temperature or pressure, the behavior of non-Newtonian as well as Newtonian liquids can be analyzed. The units are said to be accurate, easy to use and reliable instruments that can be used in accordance with all relevant standards. Available in four versions, the Elcometer 2300, with a measuring range of between 3 and 20,000,000 mPa, is available as manually controlled or fully PC programmable and controllable for automated testing. The user has the capability to pre-define and store process variables, such as start RPM, end RPM, test duration, start time delay, and temperature, for consistent testing. All the rotational viscometers in the line include a backlit LCD display to clearly show the viscosity reading in cP or mPa, along with spindle rotation speed, percent torque, sample temperature, auto range, shear rate, and shear stress. Accessories are available to enable the viscometer to measure materials with a viscosity as low as 1cP; high viscosity materials such as creams, gels, pastes, and epoxies; or products where there is only a small sample available. Testing can be at up to 200°C. Each unit is supplied with the relevant set of quick-connect spindles, liquid temperature probe and ViscosityMaster™ software, with which data can be stored with associated photographs, test notes and other relevant information.
