Literature from the company highlights saesINSULA™ vacuum insulated panels, engineered to exploit the super-insulation properties of vacuum combined with the thermal and mechanical resistance of microporous insulating materials. The result is said to be superior insulation that matches high-end performances with ease of handling and resistance. The panels are up to seven times thinner than conventional insulation materials such as rock wool, glass wool and PS foams. The thinner insulation allows the appliance maker to design appliances with increased internal volume, without modifying the overall bulk of the appliance, while maintaining the same or even improving thermal performance.
