The company launched a new rocker switch series—the 1881 series—that is said to allow product designers more freedom and flexibility while designing end products without losing reliability. This, according to the company, is ensured by a ball-spring principle that features a low friction actuating mechanism, life endurance of least 100,000 cycles and an extremely user-friendly haptic. The series is rated with 8(8) A 250 V AC to switch high motor loads. Under UL standard conditions, motor currents of 15 A 1-1/2 horsepower (hp) (250 V AC) or 3/4 hp (125 V AC) are possible. The switch, applicable for household appliances, features a low installation depth. Marquardt Switches, Inc.,
