The company’s HID electronic ballasts are compact, lightweight, and fully electronic. They are said to provide 400-W HID fixture users with energy savings of up to 40 percent, while functioning at temperatures 50 percent to 80 percent cooler than traditional magnetic ballasts. The Watt Control ballast operates at input voltage from 208 V to 277 V, 50/60 Hz, and is said to offer facility managers energy savings and lighting flexibility never before seen in an HID ballast. The technology is suited for warehouse, parking lot, retail, and other 400-W HID lighting environments. In addition to operational performance features, the ballast is compact and lightweight, weighing less than 6 pounds, and is said to be easily retro-fitable into almost any existing fixture on the market. The ballast meets all UL certification criteria and ANSI regulations, and is reported to be ideal for new construction and replacement in commercial, institutional and industrial HID lighting applications.
