The A6279 LED driver is specifically designed for LED-display applications. Each BiCMOS device includes a 16-bit CMOS shift register accompanying data latches and 16 channels constant-current sink drivers. The driver provides the user with an open LED feature that allows the user to quickly identify system problems. The driver is said to be the only industry-integrated solution with a staggered output delay to improve noise immunity performance. A CMOS serial data output permits cascade connections in applications requiring additional drivelines. Opened LED connections can be detected and fed back to the host microprocessor through the serial data out pin. Three package styles are provided, including through-hole DIP (suffix A), surface-mount SOIC (suffix LW) and exposed-pad TSSOP (suffix LP) applications. Allegro MicroSystems, Inc.
