The Ultra® 2400 Dispensing Workstation enables accurate, consistent application of cyanoacrylate, or “super glue” adhesives, which is said to make it an efficient, cost-effective alternative to squeeze bottles, hand syringes and other manual applicators.
The workstation eliminates variations in the amount of adhesive applied by using a precisely timed air pulse. A microprocessor-based digital timer with four decimal places is said to provide exceptional control of deposit size. By dispensing the same amount of adhesive every time, the workstation is said to eliminate costly rework and cut adhesive use an average of 50 percent.
The workstation offers simultaneous digital display of all dispensing parameters (including air pressure, shot count, dispense time, and vacuum), and a Teach function to simplify initial setup. For companies manufacturing worldwide, the unit can be programmed on-site in nine languages, and it provides automatic voltage conversion and includes power adapters for virtually every industrialized country.
Adhesive is dispensed from a syringe reservoir that can be held like a pen or mounted on an optional arm to leave the operator’s hands free to position or assemble parts. To apply an identical amount on each part, the user places the dispense tip in position and presses the electric foot pedal. EFD Inc., www.efd-inc.com
