According to the company, HyperCyl® drive units are designed for millions of trouble-free cycles without the leaks, noise or heat normally associated with hydraulics. While operated with ordinary pneumatic circuits, the power stroke, or high-pressure stroke, can be applied with the speed of pneumatics and with the controllability of hydraulics. The low-pressure advance or soft-touch approach allows the tool to contact the workpiece without unwanted vibration or impact, improving tool life and reducing noise. The units are said to perform with a patented, virtually leak-free design that can operate in clean-room type conditions, where environmental and part contamination are high priorities.
