Comair Rotron released a new line of AC and DC axial fans. Gryphon fans are positioned to provide customers with economical thermal management solutions. According to a company spokesperson, “Gryphon delivers on the true promise of manufacturing economy without sacrificing performance.”
An electronic protection feature automatically prevents damage to the product’s motor and electronics, even if the propeller is physically jammed while the unit is powered.
Gryphon’s standard tachometer feature is integrated in each DC axial fan. The tachometer is a 2-pulse per revolution, open collector signal that provides a precise method of measuring the fan’s rotational speed. It allows a host system to know the speed and health of a fan at any time during normal operation.
Gryphon solutions range in size from 25 mm to 120 mm. DC fans are available in selected 12 V, 24 V and 48 V versions. All AC products are offered in 115 V and 230 V versions and compatible with either 50 Hz or 60 Hz power sources. The AC models come standard with fitted terminals and are available with an optional plug and cord set to fit any connection.
All fans are confirmed with life test data and certified for safety by UL, cUL, CE, and TUV. All models are RoHS compliant and covered by a 12-month warranty.
