Switch and control supplier Cherry GmbH will display its existing range of cooktop controls as well as new concepts and technologies. According to the company, "solutions for convenient cooktop controls" is the motto of the 2006 presentation in Cologne. Cherry will display, for the first time, a new solution for gas cooktops that is operated by a touch control module. A new operating philosophy uses a slider control module reportedly makes the operation of cooktops for both consumer and professional applications more intuitive and faster—a plus in comfort and safety that may offer a competitive advantage in today’s appliance business.
