The R7130 heavy duty, 1/2-inch VSR Right Angle Drill offered by Ridgid® has an 8 A extended motor life (EML™) motor, designed and engineered to operate in dusty jobsite conditions. The drill features speeds of 300, 600 and 1,200 rpm.

The auto-stop brushes stop the drill’s operation when they are worn out and before they can damage the motor, which eliminates the need to inspect them.

The product features a compact head designed to drill holes between studs and joists. There is also an automatic safety clutch that disengages the bit from the gear train to reduce risk of kickback. It comes with a die-cast gear housing and hardened steel gears for durability and triple gear reduction to create a high level of torque capable of handling up to a 4-5/8-inch self-feed bit.

The product has a 1/2-inch keyed chuck to provide positive bit retention. It comes with a pipe handle for a more confident grip and a three-position bail handle to suit the operators preference, plus overmold on all the touch points for better grip and comfort. It weighs 12.5 pounds and comes with a chuck key, key strap and cord wrap.

A 12 foot rubber power cord, designed to be more durable than a plastic cord and to stay flexible in the cold weather, provides extra length without an extension cord. The cord also features a lighted plug that confirms when the tool is “live,” featuring a backlit icon of the tool for easy identification. A hook-up and loop-style cord wrap organizes the cord neatly for storage, eliminating knots and tangles. www.ridgid.com
