According to the company, the SWITCHmark™ line of high performance laminating adhesives, spacers, overlaminates, and backer materials for membrane switches meets the European Union’s Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Compliance in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directives (2002/95/EC, 2003/11/EC and 76/769/EEC). The directives specify the maximum allowable levels of heavy metals, PBBs (polybrominated biphenyls), PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), PentaBDE (pentabromodiphenyl ethers), and OctaBDE (octabrominated diphenyl ether), as well as various phthalates and bromodiphenyl ethers contained in electrical and electronic equipment. According to the company, SWITCHmark components are not restricted substances, and therefore meet the RoHS directives. FLEXcon Company, Inc.
