The SMA connectors are designed for diverse markets, including medical electronics, industrial controls, and cellular radio base stations, and are said to include features such as crimp/solder center contacts on the cable plugs, a low number of piece parts for ease of assembly, and stand-off steps on the legs of the PCB jacks. The 50-? connector range comprises straight and right-angle plugs and jacks for flexible coaxial cables, 0.141- and 0.085-in semi-rigid and conformable cables, as well as PCB and flange mount variants. The brass-bodied connectors are supplied in a gold-plated finish, which is said to provide excellent electrical and mechanically durable performance from d.c. to 18 GHz. ITT Industries, Cannon
