The JS series thermostat is a snap-action, self-hold thermostat specially designed for appliance and motor transformer applications. The series is said to be unique in the industry because of the patented internal heat source. The internal heat source allows the control to have a low profile design that fits better into tight spaces. In fault condition, the thermostat opens the circuit, and the internal heat source holds it open until power is removed, and the unit is allowed to cool. The thermostat then automatically resets, allowing continued operation. Portage Electric Products, Inc.
