According to literature from InterFace Solutions, Voltoid™ V-090 is a medium-density, fire-retardant material used primarily as a flexible composite electrical insulator for general-purpose applications. The material is composed of a blend of organic and inorganic fibers, specially formulated inorganic fillers, and bound in a proprietary latex matrix. The material is said to have good dielectric strength and a UL flame class rating of 94-5VA. Applications for the material include microwave ovens, frost-free motors, vending machines, heat convectors, ventilating fans, and more.
