Offering long life and stable operations in a small size, the new dual temperature CAP21 ozone sensor is reportedly an ideal product to monitor ozone levels in air purification and filtration equipment. The company says the CAP21 operates in a dual temperature cycle that improves the baseline stability, as well as the accuracy and repeatability of the reading/response.
During the ozone measurement phase, the sensor operates at 495°C for 30 sec and then changes to a “purge” phase at 600°C for another 30 sec to clean the sensor before returning to 495°C for the next reading. The CAP21’s “Funnel Entry Cap” design is said to ensure that airflow is focused directly onto the sensing chip, reducing the opportunity for O3 to decompose before reaching the sensor, which increases sensitivity.
