The company says its D3D miniature door switch is a simple, low-cost switch that snaps easily into a panel and utilizes a standard, removable crimp connector for easy wiring. The switch is available in both plunger and lever configurations, both of which require low operating force for lower mechanical stress.
The D3D’s gold crossbar contacts, along with drip/spill resistant sealing in the plunger style, reportedly ensures reliable performance. The switch utilizes wiping “rocker” contacts that offer silent operation and eliminate arcing. This capability, which the company says is proven to be a safe technology with newer CFC-free refrigerants in Europe and Japan, is valuable as North American phases in similar refrigerant families. Applications include appliances, home electronics, and factory equipment.
