The edge-connect version of the new Series of Fenwal® Gas Ignition Controls for 24 V a.c. OEM applications reportedly eliminates miswiring, increases installation speed, and compared to quick-connect designs, reduces repetitive motion stress during assembly. Applications include furnaces, boilers, radiant and infrared heaters, hearth, water heaters, commercial cooking, dryers, and similar gas-fired equipment.
To meet manufacturers’ need for a highly reliable, cost-effective gas ignition control with improved assembly productivity and reduced wiring errors, Fenwal says its 35-60-EC integrates all connections onto the edge of the circuit board. A multi-wire Molex® or AMP® plug completes all required wiring with a single connection.
The second-generation 35-60 Series controls are offered in direct-spark and intermittent pilot versions with a full range of timings and sequences to meet exact performance requirements. The microprocessor-based 35-60 also supervises burner ignition and continually monitors the flame for safety. Other features include self-check at startup and on-board diagnostics with LED.
