The patented Tri-Lok mechanism, incorporated in the company’s pneumatic power clamps, is said to provide numerous solutions to the laser welding industry. The mechanism is also said to provide a natural internal stop, eliminating the need for expensive and space-consuming external stops. According to the company, locating precision is guaranteed, as the mechanism delivers repeatability to within 0°, 3-min. The mechanism reportedly remains locked even if air pressure is lost, ensuring that parts stay in position. Finally, the mechanism is sealed and lubricated for the life of the clamp, which is said to prevent weld contaminants from clogging the mechanism and eliminating the need for periodic service.
