The System Design Simulator software, designed specifically for HVAC/R engineers, is said to significantly shorten design time and reduce the need for repetitive and frequent laboratory testing by predicting the steady-state heating and cooling performance of vapor compression systems for a wide range of system configurations and operational variables. The software is said to provide the predictive intelligence needed to optimize designs before committing expensive resources to them. The software’s component selection and simulation programs speed the development process by enabling engineers to detect potential problems and take corrective action early in the design process.
