The company’s line of rotary joints for fiber optic systems is said to be the optical equivalent of the electrical slip ring, allowing uninterrupted transmission of data in applications requiring a full 360-degree rotation of the fiber. The fiber optic rotary joints (FORJ) are available in a variety of package types, wavelengths, and fiber types, and are said to be ideal for harsh-environment applications such as guidance systems, robotic systems, medical equipment, and surveillance systems.
