A new brochure from Heatbath Corp. describes conversion coatings used by manufacturers to increase wear resistance and corrosion protection, or facilitate paint bonding or break-in lubrication. Featured are manganese phosphate, heavy zinc phosphate, calcium modified zinc phosphate, and iron phosphate. The brochure includes descriptions of important supplemental products, including grain refiners and surface activators. Pre-dips that impart a deep black phosphate finish are also discussed, along with chrome and chrome-free sealants, and rust preventatives engineered specifically for use over zinc and manganese phosphate coatings.
