The company offers its Clarex® Precision Thin Sheets, which are said to have excellent optical properties and are impact and scratch resistant. Manufactured using a specialized cell-casting method, the lightweight acrylic (Poly-Methyl Methacrylate) is applicable for a variety of industries, including restaurant, foodservice, and convenience store touch screens, vending machines, medical equipment, automotive analysis machines, watch covers, and personal hand-held electronics, among others. Available in a range of thicknesses from 0.008 to 0.197 in (0.2 to 5.0 mm), the sheets are available with a hard coating on either one or both sides to prevent surface scratching. The sheets are available in clear and a variety of colors formulated to provide maximum light transmission in the desired wavelength. The sheets achieve 92 to 93 percent light transmission and are said to have excellent resistance to chemicals, weather conditions, and other harsh environments. Astra Products, Inc.
