Major appliances weren’t the only products at HomeTech featuring advanced technologies. GD Midea Holding Co. Ltd. (Shunde, GuangDong P.R.C) exhibited a variety of technology-packed water dispensers, including its MYL29S-W(C) model. The 15-L capacity appliance features a touch-control LCD that allows users to adjust temperatures from 5ºC to 95ºC. According to Jimmy Zheng, area manager for Midea’s Water Dispenser Division, the model also includes a softening coil for water softening, and a magnetization feature that purifies the water.

Other features include a digital clock on the display unit, as well as a timer function that allows users to program when the unit should turn on and/or off. The dispenser also includes an electric child-safety device on the hot-water faucet and has two internal safety devices to protect the appliance from overheating. The unit is currently available worldwide.
