The company's MicroTouchâ„¢ resistive product offerings address the challenges of tight space constraints, small size requirements, lightweight configurations, power consumption, and high durability demands, according to the company. Appliance solutions include 4- and 8-wire touch solutions in a polyester-laminated (PL) construction. The solutions are said to be capable of accepting input from any stylus, including fingers and gloved hands. According to the company, the resistive PL construction offers a break-resistant design that withstands temperature and humidity fluctuations - essential in several appliance applications, including washing machines, dryers, and refrigerators. Custom capabilities include gasket options, custom graphics, special EMI shielding, and TouchSurroundâ„¢, and a specialized touch technology that extends the touch-sensitive area beyond the clear window display, creating button-like displays without mechanical switches.
