The company's MEMS technology has enabled it to develop the D6F gas flow sensor, which features a heater between two thermopiles that is said to let the D6F detect both gas flow velocity and direction. The silicon thermal sensor consistently outperforms other sensor types and detects velocities as low as 0.005 m/s, according to the company. The sensor is available for use in natural or Alp gas-flow measurement, HVAC system airflows, medical gas applications, and hydrogen. The D6F gas flow sensor is reportedly ideal for use in applications as diverse as fuel cells, chemical test chambers, boilers, and respiration monitors in medical treatment applications.
