Fisher & Paykel Restructures as Clyde Plant Opens

New Zealand-based appliance maker Fisher & Paykel officially opened its manufacturing facility in Clyde, Ohio, U.S. The opening comes at the same time as changes to the Fisher & Paykel Appliances Holdings Limited business overall.
"Australia and New Zealand continue to be very important markets and form the base for the company’s business," F&P said in a March 2 statement. "Longer term, the growth in Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland will become more important."
F&P Managing Director and CEO John Bongard announced restructuring of the company's personnel. The business activities of various countries will now be viewed as standalone businesses, with some corporate functions remaining in place to provide governance, consistency of approach and promotion of best practices.
The corporate functions now reporting to Bongard are:
Paul Brockett, vice president, Product Planning/Logistics/Investor Relations
Brett Butterworth, vice president, Corporate Planning/Customer Services/Production Machinery
Roger Cooper, vice president, Operations
Craig Douglas, vice president, Sales and Marketing
Christian Gianni, vice president, Engineering
Rebecca Holbrook, general counsel
Mark Richardson, chief financial officer
John Wardrop, vice president, Human Resources/Cost Management
Positions managing the geographic regions and reporting to Bongard are:
Michael Church, chief operating officer, Australia
Michael Goadby, president, North America
Malcolm Harris, chief operating officer, New Zealand
Andrew Cooke, vice president, Information Technology, will report to Richardson and remain part of the senior executive group
Matt McConnell, vice president, Procurement, will report to Wardrop and remain part of the senior executive group
Craig Douglas will manage marketing services for all areas in addition to managing the Sales and Marketing activity outside Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.
Christian Gianni will apply product design resources to all geographic regions
All changes are effective immediately.
