W. Alan McCollough has retired as CEO of consumer electronics retailer Circuit City Stores, Inc., and will retire as chairman at the company's 2006 annual shareholders meeting. Philip J. Schoonover was elected unanimously to the board, effective immediately, and named CEO effective March 1, 2006.
