Pacific Controls, supplier of automatic control components for the home appliance, commercial/industrial appliance and other industries, opened its U.S. headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois. The office will offer sales, customer support and training to Pacific Controls’ expanding customer base in the U.S. and Canada.

Pacific Controls' parent company and main manufacturing are in Suwon, Korea. The company also has manufacturing in Kunshan, China. Pacific was launched in 1976 and manufactured Korea’s first thermostats for refrigerators and freezers. Today it supplies components to control temperature, pressure, flow, and time.

“The decision to establish an office is the result of Pacific Controls significant success in recent years in the global marketplace for electric control components, including bellows thermostats, bimetal thermostats, pressure switches, defrosting timers, and flow control parts," said Joseph Chang, the general manager based in the U.S. office in Des Plaines. "Use of Pacific Controls components is becoming increasingly widespread, as customers are discovering the advantages of competitively-priced high precision automatic controls.”
