Appliance maker Electrolux presented its second Fashion Award to Firma, a German clothing and design brand based in Berlin, at the Autumn/Winter 2006/2007 Salon du Prêt-à-Porter Paris. Firma is a considered a relatively young brand that has a reputation for precisely cut, feel-good fabrics, along with solid workmanship and functional details.

The runner-up was Italy's Tricot Chic, which designs collections for women who want to simultaneously express fun, femininity and practicality.

Awards were presented by Johan Bygge, CEO of Electrolux Major Appliances Europe and Asia Pacific, at a ceremony on the Salon’s catwalk, on Saturday February 4, 2006.

Experts from international fashion houses, including the Galeries Lafayette Berlin and Le Bon Marché Paris, were on the jury with senior Electrolux design and marketing management. The jury selected the winning brand best reflecting the appliance company’s own design values.

The award ceremony showcased nine fashion brand nominees, all of which were pre-finalists in the competition: Sofie d’Hoore, Sylvia Heise, Firma, Mango, BNG, Tricot Chic, LM LULU, Philipp Plein, and Seyes.
