India's Times News Network is reporting that Lance Rettig, a senior official from Wal-Mart's headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, U.S., is relocating to India to research business development opportunities there. Wal-Mart is seen as laying the groundwork for operations in India when foreign direct investment in the general merchandise retail sector opens in that country.
