Appliance Association Launches In Italy Nov 23, 2005 |

A new Italian association of household appliances retailers was launched yesterday in Milan. The association Aires will bring together Italy's household appliance companies and distribution groups.

Chairman of the new association is Euronics Chairman Albino Sonato.
The members of the directive board of the association are:
Sonato said the association represents retail chains across Italy. Represented chains account for 40 percent market share, with more than 2,100 retail outlets and 21,000 workers. Their market turnover in 2005 is projected to be 8.5 billion euro (approx. U.S. $10.0 billion).
