Kenwood Corporation Japan named Scott Eguchi president of Kenwood USA Corporation, based in Long Beach, California. Kenwood says Eguchi's goal is to pursue a vigorous strategy of sales growth in line with aggressive product development plans. Eguchi recently served as senior vice president of Kenwood's Car Electronics Consumer Division and is a member of the board of directors.
Born in Japan, Eguchi graduated from Waseda University with a degree in commerce and joined Kenwood Corporation in 1979, serving in various senior management positions in Europe, Asia and the U.S.
Kenwood USA was founded in 1961 and is a developer and manufacturer of audio and video products for home, car and personal use. With more than 250 products, Kenwood is said to be one of the three largest-selling brands of audio and video entertainment products in the U.S.
