Target Opens 60 Stores Oct 10, 2005 |

Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.-based Target opened 60 new Target stores across the United States on Sunday, making it the largest mass opening in the retailer's history. In addition to the 60 stores opening on October 9, three more stores are scheduled to open before the end of the month.
By the end of October, Target says it will have 1,400 stores in 47 U.S. states.
