A Korea Times report says Korea's Fair Trade Commission (FTC) may launch an anti-competition probe of the flash memory agreement between Korea's Samsung Electronics and Cupertino, California, U.S.-based Apple Computer. Apple, the world's largest producer of digital audio players, uses Samsung flash memory in its high-profile iPod Nano, launched last month.
Other Korean makers of digital music players have called the Samsung-Apple deal unfair, because Samsung supplies the chips to Apple at below market value.
