The Siemens appliance brand has announced its expansion into Canada, with availability exclusively through Future Shop stores. The national launch kicked off the morning of July 14.

"Appliances should do more than merely wash clothes, clean dishes, or cook food," stated Franz Bosshard, president and CEO, BSH Home Appliances Corp., the U.S.-based maker of the Siemens brand. "People rely on their appliances to express their own individuality and personal style while keeping up with their active lifestyles."

"These aren't products you buy every year," added Kevin Layden, president and COO, Future Shop. "Technology changes and most of the appliances we carry have features that customers may not even notice. Having someone there to ask you questions about your particular lifestyle needs is an eye-opening experience for many of our customers."

Siemens' home appliance line includes washers, dryers, dishwasher, ranges, and microwaves. Future Shop has introduced 15 products in all available color options from the Siemens line, including the hiDefinition dishwashers, xTronic ranges, and UltraSense laundry pair. The line is currently available in all of Future Shop's 116 store locations across Canada. (marketnews.ca)
