The International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) announced that it is partnering with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc. (IEEE)/WESCON to co-locate its conference at the 2006 International CES.

In conjunction, IEEE/WESCON will produce conference sessions and a TechZone showcasing advanced technologies in Innovations Plus at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The International CES will run Jan. 5-8, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV, U.S.

The IEEE/WESCON conference sessions and TechZone will focus on emerging technologies, including power electronics, nanotechnologies, and ultra wideband. The International CES will use halls B and C of the Sands Expo and Convention Center Innovations Plus, which will feature emerging technology product categories, digital content and production, and the CES TechZones and Innovations award honorees.

"This partnership is a perfect fit with the new and emerging technologies that will be featured at Innovations Plus at the Sands during the 2006 International CES," said Karen Chupka, vice president of events and conferences for Consumer Electronics Association and producer of the International CES. "IEEE/WESCON at CES will be a major draw for several of our key audiences, including the increasing numbers of engineers who attend our show to see and hear the latest technology trends."
